The MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser is a 200ml jelly-to-foam wash built on a low-pH, sulfate-free surfactant base, with LHA for gentle exfoliation, five ceramides and salmon-derived PDRN. It is one of the better-constructed Korean cleansers we stock.

Two things on the bottle need translating before you buy. The 99% next to PDRN is a purity figure, not a concentration — the same wording MEDICUBE uses on its TXA line — and sodium DNA, the PDRN itself, sits 22nd of 36 ingredients. And “free from artificial fragrances” is not the same as fragrance-free: rosemary leaf oil and cornmint oil are both in this formula.

What the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser Is

The MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser is a clear pink gel that transforms into a light foam once you add water and massage. MEDICUBE describes it as removing “dirt, excess oil, and blackheads” for a “clearer, smoother-looking complexion”, with LHA to “gently exfoliate and remove dead skin cells”. It is listed for dry, combination, oily and sensitive skin.

The low-pH claim is the part that matters most in daily use. Skin sits at roughly pH 4.7 to 5.7, and a high-pH soap-based wash pushes it well above that, which is why some cleansers leave a tight, squeaky face. MEDICUBE does not publish a number for the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser, only “mild, low-pH formula” — so treat that as a directional claim rather than a measured one.

Gentle cleanser for all skin types with LHA and ceramides

Full Official Ingredient List

The MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser contains thirty-six ingredients, exactly as MEDICUBE publishes them, in order:

Water, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Glycerin, Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Acrylates/Beheneth-25 Methacrylate Copolymer, Citric Acid, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate, Hydroxyacetophenone, Dipropylene Glycol, C12-13 Alketh-9, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil.

Continuing from the 19th position: Cyanocobalamin, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Panthenol, Sodium DNA, Niacinamide, Capryloyl Salicylic Acid, Tocopherol, Cornmint Oil, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ceramide NP, Adansonia Digitata Seed Oil (Baobab Seed Oil), Hydrogenated Lecithin, Ceramide AS, Ceramide NS, Ceramide EOP, Ceramide AP, Sodium Hyaluronate.

Reading That List Honestly

The PDRN sits 22nd of 36

Sodium DNA is the INCI name for polydeoxyribonucleotide, and in the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser it appears at position 22 — below the preservative system, below the surfactants, below the pH adjusters. MEDICUBE publishes no concentration for it.

The “99% pure” figure describes how refined the raw PDRN is before it goes into the bottle. It tells you nothing about how much went in. A 99% pure ingredient at 0.1% concentration is still 0.1%, and the packaging does not make that distinction for you.

There is also a broader point worth making plainly: PDRN in a rinse-off cleanser has sixty seconds of contact and then goes down the drain. Even at a generous concentration, a wash is the weakest possible format for a repair ingredient. If PDRN is what you want from this brand, the serums and creams are where it belongs.

The surfactant system is genuinely good

Disodium cocoamphodiacetate at 2, cocamidopropyl betaine at 5, potassium cocoyl glycinate at 11. All amphoteric or amino-acid derived, all mild, and there is no SLS or SLES anywhere in the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser. This is the part of the formula actually doing the work you paid for.

LHA at 24 — a real acid, disclosed

In the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser, capryloyl salicylic acid is LHA, a lipophilic derivative of salicylic acid. It exfoliates more gently and more superficially than plain BHA because its larger molecule penetrates slowly. MEDICUBE names it in the marketing rather than hiding it, which is more than several brands manage.

At 24th of 36 in a rinse-off product, expect gradual smoothing over weeks, not exfoliation you can feel.

Two essential oils, and the word “artificial”

The MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser carries rosemary leaf oil at 18 and cornmint oil at 26. MEDICUBE’s claim is that the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser is “free from artificial colors and fragrances” — which is accurate and also not the same as being fragrance-free. Both of these are natural aromatic oils, and both are recognised contact sensitisers in a minority of people.

Cornmint oil in particular is where the cooling sensation comes from. If you have reactive skin, that tingle is not the product working — it is menthol-family compounds on your face.

Five ceramides, all at the bottom

Ceramide NP at 29, AS at 32, NS at 33, EOP at 34, AP at 35. Five is more than most cleansers bother with, and their position is about as low as it gets. In a rinse-off product that is fine — nobody should buy a cleanser for barrier lipids — but do not read “5 ceramides” on the front as a barrier-repair claim.

Mild low pH formula with a 0.00 irritation test score

How to Use It

MEDICUBE’s official steps: apply an adequate amount to the face, create foam by adding water and massaging in circular motions, rinse off with lukewarm water and follow with the rest of your skincare. Suitable morning and evening.

Two pumps on damp skin. The gel needs water to foam.
Thirty to sixty seconds of massage. Long enough for the LHA to make contact, short enough to stay gentle.
Lukewarm water only. Hot water undoes everything a low-pH cleanser is trying to do.
Rinse thoroughly. Thirty-six ingredients is a lot to leave sitting on your face.
Moisturise within three minutes. Even a gentle wash removes some barrier lipids.

If you wear heavy makeup or a water-resistant sunscreen, use an oil or balm first and the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser as the second cleanse.

What PDRN Actually Is

Worth explaining properly, because it is the ingredient the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser is named after and almost every listing in this market says nothing beyond the acronym.

PDRN stands for polydeoxyribonucleotide — fragments of DNA, most commonly extracted from salmon milt because salmon DNA is structurally close to human DNA. In injectable form it has genuine clinical use in wound healing and tissue repair, and that clinical history is where the entire K-beauty PDRN trend comes from.

Topically, the evidence is thinner. DNA fragments are large molecules, and the case for meaningful penetration through intact skin from a leave-on product is debated. From a rinse-off cleanser like the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser, with sixty seconds of contact, the honest answer is that you should not expect repair benefits at all.

That is not a reason to avoid this cleanser. It is a reason to buy it for what it verifiably is — a well-built, low-pH, sulfate-free wash with a disclosed exfoliating acid — rather than for the ingredient on the front of the bottle.

MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser 200ml low pH gel-to-foam formula

Where It Fits in a Routine

Morning

The MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser, toner, serum, moisturiser, sunscreen. A gentle foaming wash in the morning suits oily and combination skin in this heat better than a cream cleanser does.

Evening

Oil or balm cleanser first if you are wearing makeup or heavy sunscreen, then the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser, then your treatment step, then moisturiser.

What not to stack

Remember there is already LHA in this bottle. On nights you use a leave-on acid or a retinol, that is your exfoliation for the evening — no scrubs, no peel pads, no second acid.

Value and How Long It Lasts

Two hundred millilitres of the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser is a generous cleanser size, and at two pumps twice daily it runs roughly two to three months for one person.

Against Korean cleansers of comparable formulation in Bangladesh, the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser sits mid-range. What you are paying for is the surfactant system and the LHA, not the PDRN — and judged on those two things it is fair value.

Where we would not push it: if your skin is comfortable with whatever gentle cleanser you already use, this is a lateral move. Cleanser is the step where upgrading changes the least, and we would rather you spent the difference on sunscreen.

Storage and the Pump

The 200ml bottle uses a pump, which is the right call for a product this size — no fingers in the formula and a consistent dose. Store it upright at room temperature and out of direct sun.

A bathroom shelf is fine; this is a rinse-off product designed for a wet room. Follow the period-after-opening symbol, though at normal use the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser is finished well within it. If the gel separates or changes colour, stop.

Who It Is For

Combination and oily skin that reacts badly to foaming washes. The clearest case for the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser — real cleansing power without the strip.
Blackheads and congestion. LHA is oil-soluble and works inside the pore.
Sunscreen wearers. A gel-to-foam removes SPF properly, which a cream cleanser struggles with.
Twice-daily cleansers. Mild enough for morning and evening.
Anyone stepping down from a harsh acne wash. Same cleansing feel, far less damage.

Who should look elsewhere: anyone with a known essential-oil sensitivity, because of the rosemary and cornmint. Very dry or eczema-prone skin, which will do better with a cream cleanser. And anyone hoping to get meaningful PDRN benefit — buy a leave-on for that.

How to use the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser

Using It in the Bangladeshi Climate

Heat drives over-cleansing, and over-cleansing drives oil. Washing four times a day because your face feels greasy by noon strips the barrier, and skin compensates by producing more sebum. Twice daily with the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser and a plain water rinse at midday is the better pattern.

Sunscreen makes a foaming cleanser necessary. In this UV you should be wearing SPF daily, and a non-foaming cream cleanser will not fully remove a water-resistant formula. This is the practical argument for a gel-to-foam here.

Hard water leaves a film. Parts of Dhaka have noticeably hard supply water. If your skin still feels tight after a low-pH wash, the water is the more likely culprit than the cleanser.

Common Mistakes

Using it on dry skin. It will not foam. Wet the face first.
Hot water. Undoes the point of a low-pH formula.
Treating the cooling tingle as efficacy. That is the cornmint oil, not the cleansing.
Buying it for the PDRN. A rinse-off is the weakest format for any repair ingredient.
Stacking it with a leave-on BHA and a retinol on the same night. There is already LHA in here.
Skipping moisturiser because it says hydrating. Every cleanser removes something. Replace it.

Texture and Feel

The MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser is a clear pink gel, medium-thick, that resists foaming for a second and then breaks into a soft, low-bubble lather. It rinses completely clean with no slip and no squeak.

There is a light cooling sensation from the cornmint oil and a faint herbal scent from the rosemary. Skin feels soft rather than tight afterwards, which is what the low-pH claim is really promising.

How It Compares to the Zero Pore Foam Cleanser

MEDICUBE sells several cleansers, and the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser and the Zero Pore Foam Cleanser get confused most often.

PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser	Zero Pore Foam Cleanser
Format	Gel to foam, 200ml pump	Foam, 120g tube
Exfoliant	LHA	Pore-focused formula
Best for	Daily use, all skin types, SPF removal	Congestion and visible pores

If you want one cleanser for every day, the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser is the more universal pick. The Zero Pore line is targeted.

Warnings and Precautions

For external use only. Avoid direct contact with the eyes and rinse thoroughly with water if it happens. Discontinue if irritation occurs.

Patch test if your skin is reactive. The MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser contains two essential oils and an exfoliating acid. Two days on the inner forearm before you commit a whole face to it.

LHA raises sun sensitivity slightly, so daily sunscreen matters — which in Dhaka it does anyway.

What MEDICUBE Does Not Publish

The PDRN concentration. The pH number. The country of manufacture. And the methodology behind the pore, sebum and dead-skin percentages. We print what the brand publishes and say plainly where the gaps are, rather than filling them with plausible-sounding numbers.

Why Low pH Matters More Here Than Anywhere

Skin’s outer layer sits at roughly pH 4.7 to 5.7, slightly acidic. That acidity is not incidental — it keeps the enzymes that build barrier lipids working, and it keeps the skin’s own microbial balance stable.

A traditional soap-based cleanser runs at pH 9 or 10. Wash with one and your skin’s surface pH jumps for anywhere from twenty minutes to several hours before it recovers. Do that twice a day for years and the recovery gets slower.

A low-pH wash like the MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser avoids that swing entirely, which is why skin feels soft rather than squeaky afterwards. That squeaky feeling people associate with being properly clean is actually the sound of a stripped barrier.

In Bangladesh this compounds. Heat and humidity already push people toward washing more often, and hard water in parts of Dhaka is alkaline to begin with. Cleanser pH is one of the few variables you control.

A Note on the Claims We Left Out

MEDICUBE’s assets for this product include before-and-after skin close-ups and three instrument-measured percentages. Neither appears on this page.

Before-and-after photography of skin texture is almost impossible to verify — lighting angle alone changes how pores read — and we do not publish manufacturer percentages as though they were independent findings. They are on MEDICUBE’s own site if you want them, linked at the bottom.

What we have published instead is the complete ingredient list with positions, which is the thing you can actually check for yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the PDRN really 99%?

99% is the purity of the raw ingredient, not its concentration in the bottle. Sodium DNA sits 22nd of 36 ingredients.

Is it fragrance-free?

It is free from artificial fragrance. It contains rosemary leaf oil and cornmint oil, which are natural aromatics.

Why does it feel cool on the skin?

Cornmint oil. It is a sensory effect, not a sign of cleansing performance.

Will it remove sunscreen?

Regular sunscreen, yes. Heavy water-resistant SPF or full makeup needs an oil cleanser first.

Can I use it twice a day?

Yes, it is formulated for it.

Does the LHA exfoliate strongly?

No. It is at the 24th position in a rinse-off product. Expect gradual smoothing, not visible peeling.

Can acne-prone skin use it?

Yes. The LHA helps with congestion, though a dedicated acne treatment does far more.

How long does 200ml last?

Two pumps twice daily, roughly two to three months.
