The Some By Mi AC SOS Kit has a near-twin, and the names do not help:

The Acids, With Real Numbers

Korean labelling requires exact quantities for certain ingredients, which means the Some By Mi AC SOS Kit is unusually transparent. These are the published figures:

Read that honestly and the picture is clear. The 0.5% salicylic acid in the foam is the only meaningful acid in the Some By Mi AC SOS Kit. The “AHA BHA PHA” on the box is technically accurate and practically modest — the real work is being done by tea tree, centella and niacinamide. Some By Mi publishes no combined AHA/BHA/PHA percentage, and neither will we.

Two Things We Will Not Claim

Two claims made about the Some By Mi AC SOS Kit that we will not repeat:

1. We will not call it mild or suitable for sensitive skin. Several retailers do — one major marketplace sells it under the title “Mild Exfoliating Daily Skin Care Set”. Look at what is actually in the Some By Mi AC SOS Kit: peppermint oil in three of the four items, alcohol high in the serum’s ingredient list, and the declared European fragrance allergens limonene, citronellol and citral in the serum plus limonene in the cream. That is a well-formulated acne set. It is not a sensitive-skin set, and the cooling tingle people describe is peppermint, not acid.

2. We will not call it vegan. Some By Mi does not claim it is, and correctly so — the foam contains beeswax and the toner contains swiftlet nest extract, which is bird’s nest. You can check both against Some By Mi’s own Korean product page, which publishes the full declaration with quantities. If you are looking for a vegan routine, this is not it, and any listing that says otherwise has not read the label.

“AC” stands for acne care. Some By Mi’s own Korean copy calls it an emergency calming set for acne-prone skin, and the distributor lists it for oily and combination skin.

The Some By Mi AC SOS Kit suits you if you have oily or combination skin with active breakouts, you want to trial the 30 Days Miracle range before buying full sizes, or you travel and want a complete four-step routine in cabin-legal sizes.

Look elsewhere if you react to peppermint or to fragrance allergens, if you want a vegan routine, if your skin is dry or genuinely sensitive, or if you are expecting strong exfoliation — the acids here are gentle by design.

How to Use the Some By Mi AC SOS Kit

Some By Mi’s order is foam, toner, serum, cream.

1. Miracle Acne Clear Foam — lather with water, massage over damp skin, rinse thoroughly.
2. Miracle Toner — on a cotton pad, sweep along the direction of your skin texture.
3. Miracle Serum — a few drops on fingertips, press into the skin rather than rubbing.
4. Miracle Cream — the last step, pressed in until absorbed.
