What that means in practice. Twenty participants is a small sample, and a brand-commissioned study is not the same as independent peer-reviewed research. The figures are real measurements, not invented, but they describe short-term instrument readings on a small group rather than a guarantee of what your skin will do.

Is snail mucin cruelty-free?

COSRX collect the filtrate without killing the snails. It is still an animal-derived ingredient, so it is not vegan. Whether that meets your definition of cruelty-free is a personal call.

Will it break me out?

The formula is light and widely tolerated, but it does contain dimethicone and emollients. If you are highly acne-prone, patch test along your jaw for a few days.

Can I use it with retinol or acids?
