What the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser is
The Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser is a 150 g cleanser in a squeeze tube, and it is not one of Arencia’s mochi jars. There is no dough to scoop and no scrub particle in it. You squeeze a short line onto wet hands, lather it into a soft foam, and work that over damp skin.
That difference matters more than the shared “rice cake” name suggests. The four mochi cleansers exfoliate mechanically with ground almond. This one exfoliates chemically, with salicylic acid and LHA. If you have been treating them as interchangeable products from the same range, they are not.
It is also the only fragrance-free product Arencia makes that we stock, and on paper it is the best formula in their line. We will get to the caveats, but that is the honest headline.
The Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser is fragrance-free, and that is not a small thing
There is no fragrance, no parfum, no essential oil and no limonene anywhere in this formula. Across the rest of the Arencia range that is not true: the Calendula carries fragrance at eighteenth of twenty-five, the Blue Hyssop at tenth of twenty-one, and the Black Tea is scented with lemon peel oil and declared limonene.
If you have reactive skin, or you have reacted to a scented cleanser before, the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser is the one in the range to buy. We would put that above every other consideration on this page. Fragrance is the most common cause of cosmetic contact reactions, and this is the only Arencia cleanser we sell that removes the question entirely.
The rice is at twenty-one and twenty-two of twenty-two
Now the part the marketing will not tell you. The product is called the Rice + LHA Pore Control Rice Cake Cleanser, and Arencia’s key-ingredient panel leads with Rice Extract and Rice Lees Extract.
Both sit at the very bottom of the ingredient list. Oryza sativa lees extract is twenty-first of twenty-two. Oryza sativa extract is twenty-second — dead last. Everything above them is doing more work by weight.
This is now the fifth Arencia product we have listed, and the fifth where the ingredient on the front of the pack sits at the bottom of the list. The Calendula’s calendula is at 1 ppm. The Blue Hyssop’s hyssop is at 1.05 ppm and last. The Black Tea’s tea is at 10 ppm and last, in a product with no rice in it at all despite the name. The Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser continues the pattern.
The Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser ingredient list — all twenty-two

Read past the rice at the bottom and this is a better list than any of the mochi cleansers. It contains three supporting actives none of them have, and it does the exfoliating with acids rather than ground nut shell.
What actually does the work in the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser
Salicylic acid, thirteenth
A beta hydroxy acid that is oil-soluble, which is why it gets into a pore rather than just working on the surface. It is the standard ingredient for blackheads and congestion, and it is the reason to buy the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser over the scrub-based options.
Capryloyl salicylic acid, nineteenth
This is the LHA in the name — a lipo-hydroxy acid, a modified salicylic acid with a fatty chain attached. It penetrates more slowly and more evenly than plain salicylic acid, which is the usual argument for it being gentler. Having both in one formula is a sensible pairing rather than a marketing stack.
Niacinamide, panthenol and allantoin
Sixteenth, fifteenth and fourteenth. Niacinamide supports the barrier and is one of the better-evidenced ingredients in skincare. Panthenol is a humectant and soothing agent. Allantoin calms. None of the four mochi cleansers contains any of them. In a rinse-off product their contact time is short, so we would not oversell what they do here — but their presence is why we call this the better formula.
One surfactant, not three
Sodium cocoyl glycinate is the only cleansing agent, at fourth. The mochi cleansers use three stacked together. A single mild coconut surfactant is a gentler approach, and it fits the sensitive-skin positioning.
Almond oil, not almond meal
Prunus amygdalus dulcis oil is third — sweet almond oil, an emollient. It is not the ground almond seed cake the other four use as a scrub. There is no physical exfoliant in the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser at all.
The salicylic acid percentage is not published
We looked for it. It is not on Arencia’s own US listing, not on their Korean material, not on Olive Young, not on StyleKorean, not on Glowpick. No concentration is given for the salicylic acid or for the LHA.
We are not going to estimate it for you. A cleanser with an undisclosed acid concentration could be anywhere from token to meaningful, and the position in the list — thirteenth of twenty-two — narrows it but does not settle it. Korea regulates salicylic acid in cosmetics and treats it as a functional ingredient in rinse-off acne products, so it is not unregulated; it is simply undisclosed.
What that means practically: patch test, start slowly, and do not assume the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser is mild just because it is marketed for sensitive skin. Judge it on how your skin responds over two weeks.
The test results — the best evidence Arencia has shown us
Arencia publishes three numbers for the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser: 74.25 percent surface oil removal, 36.26 percent dead skin cell exfoliation, 15.35 percent sebum reduction.
Underneath, in small type, is the part that matters: based on instrumental and self-report evaluation of 32 subjects, immediately after a single use.
We want to be fair here, because this is genuinely better than what the brand offers elsewhere in the range. Thirty-two subjects and instrumental measurement is real methodology. The Blue Hyssop’s “blackheads reduced by 13 percent” has no participant count, no method and no timing attached to it at all. Arencia did more work on this product and showed more of it.
The caveat is the timing. “Immediately after single use” tells you what one wash does in the moment. It tells you nothing about what four weeks of use does to your pores, your oil production or your texture — which is what you actually want to know. Surface oil removal of 74 percent immediately after washing is roughly what washing is for.
Two acids in one cleanser — how to layer the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser safely
Salicylic acid and LHA are both beta hydroxy acids. Having two in a wash-off product is not dangerous, but it changes what else you should be doing on the same night.
If you already use an acid toner, a retinoid or benzoyl peroxide, start the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser at three nights a week and keep it off the nights you use those. Contact time in a cleanser is short, which limits how much the acids can do, but skin that is already being pushed does not need another input. Build up only if nothing stings, flakes or reddens after two weeks.
If this is the only active in your routine, daily use is reasonable. Arencia markets it as a daily gentle foaming wash and the formula supports that.
Almond oil and tree nut allergy
The almond here is sweet almond oil at position three, not the ground almond seed cake used in the mochi cleansers. Refined almond oil is generally low in the protein that drives nut allergy, which is a different risk profile from ground nut meal.
That said, we are a shop, not your allergist. If you have a diagnosed tree nut allergy, ask your doctor before using the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser rather than taking a retailer’s word for it. We would rather lose the sale than get that wrong.
How to use the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser
- Wet your face and hands with lukewarm water.
- Squeeze a short line, roughly a fingertip’s worth, onto wet palms.
- Lather it between your hands into a soft foam before it touches your face.
- Massage over damp skin in small circles for about thirty seconds. There is no scrub here, so pressure achieves nothing.
- Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat dry.
- For deeper pore care, apply a thicker layer and leave it as a wash-off mask for three minutes, then rinse.
Three minutes is Arencia’s own instruction for the mask step and we would not extend it. Leaving an acid cleanser on longer does not make it work better; it makes irritation more likely.
How the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser suits this climate
A salicylic acid cleanser is well matched to a Dhaka summer. Heat drives sebum, sweat and dust settle into it, and an oil-soluble acid gets into a pore in a way a surface scrub does not. Between April and October the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser is doing useful work.
One local caution that matters more here than the format warnings on our other pages. Salicylic acid can increase sun sensitivity. The contact time in a rinse-off cleanser is short and the practical risk is low, but Bangladesh sun is not gentle. Wear sunscreen daily — which you should be doing anyway if you are using acids at all.
Who the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser suits
Good fit: oily and combination skin, blackheads and closed comedones, rough or bumpy texture, mild acne, and anyone who has reacted to fragranced cleansers and wants an Arencia product without that risk. It is also the sensible pick if you want a cleanser that does something rather than one that simply cleans.
Poor fit: dry or dehydrated skin with no congestion, anyone with an already-compromised barrier, and anyone using strong prescription actives who does not want another acid in the routine. If your skin is dry and calm, the Calendula is the better buy and it costs a hundred taka less.

If your problem is congestion and you want it treated, buy the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser. If your problem is texture and you like the feeling of a scrub, buy one of the jars. If your skin is reactive, buy this one for the absent fragrance alone.
What 150 g of the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser works out to per wash
A fingertip’s worth is roughly one and a half grams, so a 150 g tube gives around a hundred washes at daily use, or seven months at three nights a week. That puts it a little under nineteen taka a wash.
It is the most expensive cleanser in our Arencia range and it holds the most product. Against the jars it costs more per wash; against a separate salicylic acid treatment it costs less than buying both. We would rather show you the arithmetic than tell you it is a bargain.

Is the rice in the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser doing anything?
At positions twenty-one and twenty-two of twenty-two, nothing you would notice. The acids, the niacinamide and the single mild surfactant are what you are paying for.
Is the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser good for blackheads?
It is the best product in our Arencia range for them, because salicylic acid is oil-soluble and gets into the pore. It is still a cleanser — thirty seconds of contact is not a leave-on treatment, and it will not clear severe congestion on its own.
Can I use it every day?
Yes, if it is the only active in your routine. Three nights a week if you also use a retinoid or an acid toner.
Will the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser remove sunscreen?
Light chemical sunscreen, yes. Heavy mineral SPF, waterproof formulas or full makeup need an oil or balm first.
Is the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser safe in pregnancy?
Salicylic acid in a rinse-off product is generally considered low risk, but salicylic acid specifically is the ingredient people are told to ask about in pregnancy. Ask your doctor before using this one. That is a stronger caution than we give on our other Arencia pages, and it is deliberate.

Nothing in the twenty-two-ingredient list is animal-derived. Arencia carries no vegan certification we can verify, so we state the ingredient fact and stop.

How we store and ship the Arencia Rice LHA Cleanser
Stock sits in air-conditioned storage in Dhaka until it goes out. A tube is more forgiving than an open jar, but heat degrades actives and a product that has spent a week at forty degrees is not what the brand formulated.
