SKIN1004 sells a US version of the Water-Fit Sun Serum with an entirely different filter system — avobenzone, homosalate, octisalate and octocrylene — because American sunscreen regulation does not permit the filters used in the Korean formula. That version is labelled with an SPF number only, with no PA rating, since the US does not use the PA scale.
The product on this page is the Korean-market version, labelled SPF50+ PA++++, using ethylhexyl triazone and Uvinul A Plus. That is what our supplier lists for this exact item.
Why you should care: if you read a review of “the SKIN1004 sunscreen” written by someone in the United States, they may be describing a different formula with a different feel and a different ingredient list. Texture reports, breakout reports and white-cast reports do not transfer cleanly between the two.

Centella, Panthenol and Niacinamide

How to Use SKIN1004 Water-Fit Sun Serum
- Apply as the final step of your morning routine, after moisturiser and before makeup.
- Use enough — see the section below, because this is where most protection is lost.
- Spread evenly and let it settle for a minute before anything goes on top.
- Reapply every two to three hours of daylight exposure, and after heavy sweating.
Do not mix sunscreen into your moisturiser to save a step. Diluting it reduces the protection you actually get, regardless of what the bottle claims.
The Amount Almost Everyone Gets Wrong
The SPF number on any sunscreen is measured at 2 mg of product per square centimetre of skin. In practice that is roughly two finger-lengths of product for the face and neck, or about a third of a teaspoon.
Most people apply between a quarter and a half of that. The consequence is not a small one: protection falls disproportionately, so an SPF50+ applied thinly can behave closer to an SPF15.
This is precisely why a lightweight texture matters more than it sounds. A sunscreen you can comfortably apply at full quantity, twice a day, outperforms a higher-rated one you use sparingly because it feels heavy.
Texture, White Cast and Makeup
The finish is fresh and slightly dewy, not matte and not greasy. On very oily skin in peak humidity you may still want a light powder over the T-zone by midday.
There is no white cast. The filters here are organic rather than mineral, which is the technical reason — mineral filters sit on the surface and scatter light, which is what produces the grey-white film on deeper skin tones. This formula will not do that.
Under makeup it behaves well provided you let it set. Rushing foundation on top of any fluid sunscreen is the usual cause of pilling.
